Everyone has already heard the news and details so my quetion is. Will this shooting change the way you think about going to the theater to enjoy a movie? Are you now afraid or paranoid?
In my opinion, I won't let this guy change me or what I like to do. I watched The Dark Knight Rises in a crowded theater Saturday night and I had fun. Great movie!
So will you let this tragedy change what you think of going to the theater or not?
Come on, I want you to do it, I want you to do it. Come on, hit me. *Hit me!* _________________ https://www.facebook.com/groups/moviesnshows/?ref=bookmarks |

No. Tragic as it was, it will not make me change my daily way of life.
Every time one of these tragedies occur anywhere in the world, I am reminded of Michael Ryan and the Hungerford Massacre back in 1987.
On that day, two friends of mine were shot and killed. I should have been in exactly the same location, but by sheer coincidence, I had decided to take that particular day off work!
Like everyone else in that area, I was deeply affected by the event, but I have never let it change my way of life.
Pointless murders have been going on since the beginning of time and, sadly, they will continue to happen. |

In Southern California, a man at a Sunday afternoon showing of the film was arrested after witnesses said he made threats and alluded to the Aurora shooting when the movie didn't start. Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were called to a cinema complex in Norwalk after moviegoers said 52-year-old Clark Tabor shouted: "I should go off like in Colorado." They said he then asked: "Does anybody have a gun?"
A Maine man was arrested when he told authorities that he was on his way to shoot a former employer a day after watching "The Dark Knight Rises," Maine state police said Monday. Timothy Courtois of Biddeford, Maine, had been stopped for speeding, and a police search of his car found an AK-47 assault weapon, four handguns, ammunition and news clippings about the mass shooting that left 12 people dead early Friday, authorities said.
I Just want to know if the movie is good? |

I don't understand why this movie is now making people go crazy. It's not the first movie of it's kind so I don't know what to make of this.
Yeah The Dark Knight Rises is great. I can't say if it's as good as The Dark Knight but I think it's very close. Bane the villain in this new movie is one of the most brutal and intimidating villains I have ever seen. He sounds like Sean Connery through that mask but somehow it makes him even scarier.
The movie currently has a fresh rating of 87 % at rottentomatoes.com with 215 good reviews and 33 negative reviews. Notable top critics who enjoyed it.....

No even though the theater masscre was tragic I'll still go to the theater like I always have, by having fun. The people who died in the masscre only went there to have fun, they weren't expecting to be hurt by a psycho. If we stop going to the theater it would only hurt there memories we have of them. |

Your completely right!
I know some people that are saying ''I'm not letting my kid watch Batman again (cartoon version)''. Like seriously, just because some guy had to be dumb and start killing people in the batman movie to copy what they are doing doesn't mean the movie is actually bad. |

I went and saw the movie a week later and didn't think twice about that shooting, it didn't affect me one iota. I will be going to see it again soon also. I feel for the families of the victims and couldn't imagine what they are going through. But like most have said this won't affect my life or change my ways. |

I don't understand why this is even a question.
There have been shootings and violence in just about every public space, and even if there weren't people should realize that we're almost always just as vulnerable as those people at the theater are.
Anyone who decides to stop going to the movies because of this should really just stop going outside altogether.
Your chances of dying in a car crash are astronomically higher than getting shot at a movie theater.
The only explanation I can assume is that people can't cope when they're reminded of how frail their lives are, and come to unreasonable conclusions because of it. |

I agree with you. I don't hear people being afraid to go in other buildings where a shooting has happened so I don't see why a theater shooting is so much different but I can understand why I guess....
Up until July 20th, I think most people felt perfectly safe in a theater since no shootings that I know of have happened there and with the lights being turned off and everyone being close together and in between those seats, it would be hard to escape gunfire from an assault rifle so I think that raises the fears. The darkness along with the loud sounds from the movie and not much room to move is what gets people paranoid I think.
It won't change me though. I plan on watching The Campaign when it comes out in a theater. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/groups/moviesnshows/?ref=bookmarks |

No it will not change my wanting to go see a movie. As others have stated this could happen anywhere at anytime. You could be in a grocery store and some lunatic could open fire because the price of frozen peas went up 15 cents. You have to go on living.
On a side note I found this story rather bizarre...
A young woman who was killed in the Colorado shooting narrowly missed being shot in Toronto, Canada when a gunman opened fire in the Eaton Center food court on June 2.
You can read the entire story here
You have to ask yourself what are the odds of this. |

This massacre has undoubtedly affected the public opinion around the world and has created fear and paranoia among the citizens of Colorado and not only in this state:In fact, after this tragedy, the U.S. has increased arms sales as a preventive and defensive!
I personally will not change my habits and I will continue to frequent the theaters and see my films
What I'm worried about is worthless and that many adolescents have opened over the network pages and blogs that support this insane criminal:
