I am starting this poll because it strikes me odd that Omega Chess is gaining such popularity. I don't personally see the beauty of it.
I currently have a new Chess Variant in the making and it will be published online later this month.
So I have added some options: Normal Chess, Omega Chess, Chinese Chess, Seirawan Chess, Gothic Chess and Other Chess Variants.
Which type of Chess do you prefer?

I never got into chess but, I have heard of these variants. But the only one I really know how to play is normal chess.

I also play chess.. but the "normal" variant 
in earlier days one of my nephew's learned me to play chess, but he didn't know the rules very good, so when the King was in treble we did a rochade , but several times in one game   ) |

I have very frustrating memories of chess.
My dad taught me how to play when I was quite young - I guess when I was about 7 or 8, but I could never win.
Then I tried playing against my brother a few times, but he always beat me as well.
I have played one or two friends over the years, but I don't think I have ever won a single game of chess in my life!
I know all the legal moves, and how you are supposed to think several moves ahead, but I guess I'm just pants at the game.
I just prefer a nice walk in a forest.  |

I definitely choose normal chess, it's the type of chess I am personally more experienced at.
However, I think I haven't played chess for some years now.
