Chrome tempted me again... but Opera it is

The one thing that attracts me to Chrome is how simplified they made the interface and also that Gmail works better.

So I was using it for a few days to see if it could convert me.

However after studying some more the difference between Chrome and Opera I realised that video streaming is poorer in Chrome and although it appears to be quicker, switching between tabs while loading pages also lags.

So I loaded up Opera again today and started playing with the configuration.

To my delight I found that I could reduce its already fairly slimline appearance to not only equal Chrome... but to better it.

I did away with the address bar since I only need to display it when programming.

I did away with the side panels.

I did away with progress and status bars.

Now all I have is the "O" tab to open menu options and the web page tabs - all nicely aligned at the top of the window.

It seems Opera really can pull in the crowds and once again it saved me from converting to another browser.

I have tried all sorts of different browsers but as soon as I tried Opera I never went back to any of the others, the main original reason I tried it was the lack of ability to be able to submit scores on ArcadeBoss with Chrome - but it is far superior in other ways too
