The sequel has met its lofty expectations but just barely at an estimated $92 million! Although $92 million seems like a hefty total, it pales compared to Iron Man 3's $174.14 million total a year ago!
Nevertheless, The Amazing Spider-man 2 did about as well as other Marvel sequels like Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Other Woman actually held up quite well in the shadow of the new superhero sequel with an estimated $14.2 million in its second weekend at the box office.
