Not long moved into our house, and there is alot of strange things going on. Footsteps in the attic, electrical items blowing up and mysterious shadows.
We got the local Priest in eventually to bless our place, but after doing a little research, we found that our property was built on a Saxon Burial ground - Creepy

Stop watching scary movies and it will go away!

I like watching ghost hunters. One of my favorites. I like that kind of thing. But to tell you the truth do you think that you would live in a house that was haunted?

I used to be a cave guide for Wookey Hole Caves in Somerset, UK.

One day I had just finished the last tour and it was my turn to lock up that evening. So I welcomed the last visitors and as we entered the caves did the usual routine of locking the gates behind us.

We went on through the caves and I performed my usual custom tour. There were only a man and his girlfriend, so we had a bit of a chat as we went.

Anyways, when you do the last tour you are supposed to check there's no litter and stuff or people hanging around, to make sure you switch off all the lights and lock all the gates and doors.

So I did all that and as we exited the other end of the caves, I said goodbye to the visitors and showed them their way onwards down through the valley.

Nothing strange there.

However, next morning it was also my turn to open the caves. A strange thing happened. As I made my way through to the second chamber known as the 'Witches Kitchen' I found a pot of honey and some rose petals in a small pouch lying nearby one of the rocks.

"Odd," I thought, "I'm sure there was nothing left behind last night when I locked up."

Anyways, I took the items with me and as I returned to the Guide's Cabin I showed the others, who had now arrived for work. We all had a little laugh over how it was The Witch Of Wookey Hole trying to spook us out, and then got on with the day's work.

An interesting day it was. We had hundreds of French school kids arrive today and we were flat off our feet. But we did our tours and entertained everyone to their heart's content.

Again it was my turn to lock up because (and not only was it a busy day but) one of the other guides was off ill. I did the same old chore again and made sure all the lights were out.

But most significantly in this story, the Guide's Cabin was deffinately locked.

The next morning I was the first to arrive for work. And as I made my way up through the gorgeous valley, up into the hill and to the entrance of the cave... as I arrived along the last stretch of the path towards the Guide's Cabin, I began to slow... right down... and with my eyes almost submerged in tears... my skin began to feel very slightly electrified and my hair was slowly, but surely, beginning to stand on end.

Right there before me... I found... a broken jar of honey... and red rose petals... all over the path.

My parents took me here when I was a child. The other great place is the Hell Fire Caves in Buckinghamshire (Satanic Rituals used to take place here).

When I was a kid I grew up in Castlegar, BC. It was a small industrial city. Mostly logging with a sawmill and pulp mill. Only 6 thousand people lived there. It was small with not a lot to do. There was an island that a Russian immigrant and his wife settled on. It wasn't very big. You could walk around it in about 15 minutes. They had a small house/chapel on it and a couple of smaller out buildings. The area had been inhabitited by Native Indians and their relics could be found all over the island. My brother, a friend and I would go out there and toss big rocks off the bridge into the lagoon in the evening. The park was never locked in those days. One night we had just walked onto the island and thought we had seen a light in one of the windows of the house. It was after 10 at night and there was no one, but us on the island. We walked up to the house and checked the door. It was locked tight. There were no sounds and no movement. Just as we were walking away the light came back on and we all swore we had seen a shadow in the window! We took off running as fast as we could! While running away we heard the bell in the steeple ringing! That made us go faster! The next morning we went to the island during open hours to talk to someone. We told the lady what we had witnessed. She said no one had been in the house the night before. As for the bell.....she showed it to us. It was locked in a glass showcase! The steeple was empty! She had said that from time to time weird things would happen in the house. Books would fall off the shelves, lights would go on and off, the doors would close. She had heard the bell chime once as well!

We never went back to that island in the dark. Not even to toss rocks into the lagoon. We stayed away.
