There was a study done and 68% of people that their fav color is black had mental problems... |

Obviously if your some dark, gothic, twisted weirdo who drinks blood maybe so. And yes, I could see some neurological ties there, so possibly.
But then for example, in web architecture/design, black is a useful color for fading/blending different layers into the one... so like a void that everything "comes forth" from. With white it takes a lot more time and effort to get things to blend in.
Black can also though be a display of confidence, and in that you are making a statement that says your "darkness within" is not anything you need to hide and would quite willingly wear it on the outside.

The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines.
Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection...but I prefer the white. |
