I do sometimes wish that I could have lived through my teen years in the 70's because of how things were back then and the great rock music coming out.

Yes!!! I would have loved to have been around in the 70's for this very reason. Also, "That 70's Show" makes it look like a lot of fun Razz

Wow, I've learnt some pretty interesting stuff here haha.

It is estimated that at any one time, 0.7% of the world's population is drunk.

Which decade did you grow up in? (ie, childhood, teenage years) What did you like about that decade? Dislike? Would you rather have grown up in a different decade?

I was born in 1981 so my childhood was the 80's, then my teenage years were the 90s. I loved the 80's cartoons and most of the 80's music. The 90's were okay but I think things went downhill from there.

Bottled water all tastes the same to me! I'm happy with plain tap water, as long as I have ice with it.

Wow, those are some pretty impressive records! Given the fact that a) It's a classic, b) Tim Burton is doing it, and c) Johnny Depp is in it, it's not surprising that it's done so well. I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure I will in the near future. So far I've heard mixed reviews from friends - some loved it, but some have said that Tim Burton was trying a bit too hard and the story ended up coming out flat.

I don't know if anyone can say for sure whether it's real or not (although personally I'm leaning more towards "not") However, I do think it's good that it's made us more aware of how much we're wasting and has encouraged people to recycle, use less water etc.

Sometimes I give them a chance to tell me why they're calling and then I'll tell them I'm not interested, but I usually just hang up the phone straight away.

We've tried time-outs with our 6 year old daughter but it has no effect at all. Being sent to her bedroom or being made to sit in the corner for a few minutes doesn't seem to bother her. Taking away toys/treats/privileges seems to work best with her. I don't believe in corporal punishment though
